I’d like to tell you about the story of a highly regarded, now retired, Orthopedic Surgeon.
Kenneth Pettine was one of Colorado’s most well-respected surgeons. He’s known for his trademarked phrase, “Friends don’t let friends get fused,” as well as for founding The Rocky Mountain Associates in Orthopedic Medicine in 1991. It’s said he created this organization to help ensure his patience had access to non-fusion surgical options.
In addition, Mr. Kenneth Pettine was the principal investigator for 18 Food and Drug Administration studies that involved non-fusion implants, stem cells and more. You could say he was the pioneer in spinal stem cell therapy.
A major accomplishment includes being listed as 50 Spine and Specialist Surgeons to Know in America and is the recipient of numerous honors, a distinguished speaker at national and international symposiums, and the author of more than 20 research publications.
As the co-inventor for the FDA-approved Prestige™ cervical artificial disc and the Maverick Artificial Disc™ Kenneth Pettine is without a doubt one of the best things that have happened to the stem-cell therapy industry.
